The beach is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Before visiting, I had only been to the four states, which is the stringy grassy fields, the forest of trees, the smelly white and black cows and pink curly tailed pigs. See I had never seen any other states but Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. I love the picture in my head but it was nice to finally see something different. When my boyfriend, his little brother, and I went to Pensacola, Florida, it took about 14 hours of long driving.
Eventually we made it. We passed through Arkansas. I had been to Rogers before, so none of that was new. We got into Van bureau, I couldn’t believe my eyes. There were mountains of beautiful trees. All the hills with green were amazing. I had never seen anything like it. When we went down further into Arkansas, I couldn’t believe the poverty. It was bad. No, I am not racist, but there were black people in all directions. I was scared, because I had heard stories of bad events happening. We were asked if we wanted some pills, or cocaine and we didn’t even know the guy! I drove further, and further.
After what seemed like ten years we arrived to Mississippi! I saw the Mississippi River for the first time! It was dark, but I embraced the moment of knowing I was beside it! It was spectacular. I saw a little of it when we crossed the bridge. It was absolutely soothing to see it. We drove deeper into Mississippi and stopped at a gas station. I couldn’t wait any longer to adventure on, so I told them to hurry up and get in the car. We finally arrived at Alabama. Dalton (which is Flake’s little brother) and my boyfriend (Blake) made me stop. They picked up some boiled peanuts.
I had never tried anything like them before! When I put one in my mouth, it was unusual. It felt like a piece of a baby back rib. It melted in my mouth and I enjoyed them. Some were spicy and others were regular tasting. We got back on the road. I was so tired and I was about to fall asleep. Only as we got farther from home and closer to our destination, I could feel something. Not like anything I had felt before. The air felt lighter like it was a moist feeling. I liked it and I could smell the water and the salt in he air. The difference in the air from Missouri to Alabama was amazing.
I couldn’t wait to see; I knew the ocean was coming soon. When we arrived in Pensacola, I couldn’t believe I was there. It felt like I wasn’t really there like it was a dream. Blake made me stop and get out of the car. I ran to the water and he said,” Taste the water. ” So I went and I put my hand in a cup shape, I put it in the smooth water. Honestly it looked like the lake but when I raised my hand put the water in my mouth I was shocked. It tasted like salt water! When I spit it UT my teeth were all gritty like I hadn’t brushed my teeth in awhile.
We drove farther Decease I couldn’t Walt until tomorrow to see ten Deacon. I Ana to see It When we arrived at the beach, I was speechless. I walked up the hard steps to put my feet in the sand. As I stepped down I felt the sand squishing in between my toes. It was natural, pure, and soft. God put it on this beautiful earth. It wasn’t man made. I just ran around in it like a little kid in the candy shop. But that’s not all! I heard something I hadn’t before. Waves. I couldn’t see but maybe a little out because it was ark. It was around 4 in the morning.
But I could here it crashing, and slamming itself into the earth like a little kid throwing himself on the floor throwing a fit. The wind was strong and in the distance you could see the storms. It was beautiful. White lightening crashing across the deep dark sky like a thunderstorm back in Missouri. But it was far away off in the distance. We stayed up all night because I couldn’t sleep, however, as soon as it was light outside, we went back to the beach. When we got there, I could see the soft sand. It was not dirty. It was a creamy color. I was so excited I ran to the water.
It’s weird because in sand like that, I couldn’t run fast. It felt like I was getting nowhere. I could see the waves now. It was natural with the roaring wind making the waves rush toward you. I got into the water and it was light and soft. The water was not clear but it was a light soothing green color, which took my breath away. We stayed for 5 more days, and everyday I wanted to go the beach. We had our own private beach at the hotel we stayed at. While there we saw a dolphin. It was like I was in a movie because I had never seen anything like it before.
It came above the water and I could see the gray color. Its long beak (it was more round though) type nose was exquisite. I felt like I was in a new magical world with all the smells, and scenery, I had no words for. I never wanted to leave this wonderful place. I really would like to move there one day. Although we did have to come back, I didn’t want to. I wanted to stay at the beach forever. I would have to say if anyone had a chance to go, don’t pass up the opportunity to. The beach is one of the most beautiful places and it was such a good hint that I went.
